I've often wondered at this sudden mushrooming of blogs. Why do so many people across the world want to tell so many more people across the world their private thought?
Why don't they just go and confess in the church?
Or write stuff on a piece of paper and chuck it in the sea?
Why do we want everyone to know?

We all seek attention..we all need to be acknoledged ..that we exist and that we matter.....
Church confession before a father who is suppossedly a medium to a dualistic GOD..is as hollow as the word gets !!
in a blog one has the option being private ..or public ..can reach out to like minded .....with our the boundaries of distance caste creed and even culture dissolved ...its like you can have the cake and eat it too...:-))

it is the only space where one can be public and private almost simultaeneously.
on the other hand blogging is also an important tool for voicing politcal opinion and internet activism.
